Job Description
Badger Holdings seeks a proactive IT Support Technician to deliver frontline technical support across Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. This onsite role in George supports around 180 users, managing helpdesk tickets, hardware/software setups, and contributing to IT projects within a fast-paced insurance organisation.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA or MCITP; MCSE advantageous
- Experience supporting end-user devices, peripherals, and software in enterprise environments
- Familiarity with ticketing systems, endpoint management tools, and ITIL processes
- Basic knowledge of server technologies including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Reader, and web browsers
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
- High attention to detail with commitment to confidentiality and data security
Responsibilities
- Provide Level 1 and basic Level 2 support to approximately 180 users across three regions
- Manage and resolve incidents and service requests via the IT ticketing system with SLA compliance
- Deploy, configure, and maintain hardware and software for end users
- Monitor IT systems and escalate alerts or issues as required
- Support network, telephony, and remote access systems
- Maintain IT asset inventory and lifecycle documentation
- Assist with software deployment, patching, and compliance
- Participate in IT projects and maintain accurate documentation
