Job Description

Air Traffic and Navigation Services (ATNS) is seeking a Head of Security & Facilities to provide strategic and operational leadership for the Aviation Security and Facilities function. The role involves developing and implementing strategies, managing security and facility operations, and ensuring compliance with legislative and safety standards. The position requires managing budgets, stakeholder relationships, and personnel to achieve ATNS business objectives.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Security Management, Police Management, Facility/Property Management, Business Management, or related fields
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in managing security or facilities management in a complex environment
  • At least 5 years of experience at a managerial level
  • Postgraduate qualification in Business Management or related fields (advantageous)
  • Applicable certifications (advantageous)

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for Aviation Security and Facilities
  • Develop and implement the function’s strategy aligned with ATNS business strategy
  • Provide inputs into the long-term ATNS strategy
  • Manage implementation of the function’s strategy
  • Drive delivery of projects within time, budget, and quality standards
  • Analyze trends and metrics to develop solutions and policies
  • Conduct research and statistical analysis to improve efficiency
  • Benchmark service delivery against global best practices
  • Provide specialist advice on security and facilities issues
  • Maintain and improve efficiency processes
  • Manage security and facility contracts
  • Implement loss prevention measures and conduct investigations
  • Maintain liaison with law enforcement agencies
  • Develop and enhance security procedures
  • Monitor and ensure effectiveness of security measures
  • Conduct physical security appraisals
  • Manage upkeep of equipment and supplies
  • Inspect buildings for repairs or renovations
  • Supervise facilities staff and contractors
  • Handle insurance plans and service contracts
  • Develop and manage a governance framework
  • Monitor compliance with policies and legislation
  • Lead risk assessment and issue management
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • Develop and manage the function’s budget
  • Ensure availability of skilled staff
  • Promote high levels of discipline and performance
