Group Financial Manager

Pollock Associates is hiring a Group Financial Manager to lead the finance function of a growing business in the ICT and logistics space. Reporting to the CEO, this role involves guiding strategic financial planning, ensuring compliance, managing HR-related functions, and preparing the organisation for sustainable growth. The role supports future progression to CFO, offering a strategic platform for leadership and professional development.

Requirements

• Chartered Accountant or equivalent (Finance degree with MBA also considered)
• Over 10 years’ post-qualification experience
• Minimum 3 years in a Financial Manager role
• Proven track record managing and developing finance teams
• Expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting
• Strong proficiency in financial software and tools
• Deep understanding of compliance requirements (BEE, EE, tax, AFS)
• Experience in mining, IT, supply chain/logistics, or security sectors (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and performance
• Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive leadership
• Oversee compliance with tax, employment equity, and financial regulations
• Support HR-related financial operations and risk management
• Drive financial planning and analysis for business growth
• Prepare for future CFO responsibilities through executive collaboration
• Implement financial tools and systems to enhance operational effectiveness
