Pollock Associates is hiring a Group Financial Manager to lead the finance function of a growing business in the ICT and logistics space. Reporting to the CEO, this role involves guiding strategic financial planning, ensuring compliance, managing HR-related functions, and preparing the organisation for sustainable growth. The role supports future progression to CFO, offering a strategic platform for leadership and professional development.
Requirements
- Chartered Accountant or equivalent (Finance degree with MBA also considered)
- Over 10 years’ post-qualification experience
- Minimum 3 years in a Financial Manager role
- Proven track record managing and developing finance teams
- Expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting
- Strong proficiency in financial software and tools
- Deep understanding of compliance requirements (BEE, EE, tax, AFS)
- Experience in mining, IT, supply chain/logistics, or security sectors (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Lead the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and performance
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive leadership
- Oversee compliance with tax, employment equity, and financial regulations
- Support HR-related financial operations and risk management
- Drive financial planning and analysis for business growth
- Prepare for future CFO responsibilities through executive collaboration
- Implement financial tools and systems to enhance operational effectiveness
