Matjhabeng Local Municipality in the Free State Province is offering 150 General Worker positions to promote local employment and enhance service delivery across towns including Welkom, Virginia, Odendaalsrus, Allanridge, Hennenman, and Ventersburg. This recruitment drive aims to provide job opportunities for local residents and ensure efficient delivery of essential municipal services, contributing to the socio-economic upliftment of the area.
Requirements
- Grade 10
- Conversant in local languages
- Physically fit to perform duties
- Driver’s licence would be an added advantage
- Preference given to applicants residing within the Municipal area
- Certified copy of South African ID
- Certified copies of qualifications
Responsibilities
- Perform general labour duties such as cleaning, digging, loading/unloading materials, and maintaining municipal facilities
- Operate basic tools and equipment relevant to the assigned Department
- Follow instructions from supervisors and ensure duties are carried out effectively
- Adhere to all safety regulations and municipal policies
- Perform any other related duties as required within various sections/Departments of the Municipality
