Job Description
VKB Group is seeking a Financial Manager at VKB Fuels, Head Office Reitz, to lead financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. The role involves developing financial strategies, managing teams, ensuring compliance, and overseeing the transition from NAV to Business Central to support business growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Professional qualification: SAICA / SAIPA / CIMA / MBA or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a financial management role, preferably with exposure to commodities, FMCG (convenience retail), manufacturing, or distribution sectors
- Proven experience in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and/or Business Central (BC)
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong leadership abilities with experience managing diverse teams
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Involvement in a NAV to Business Central transition project advantageous
- Experience in the convenience retail, food, and coffee franchise spaces advantageous
- Exposure to commodity or raw material management advantageous
- Strategic and analytical thinking
- Strong leadership and team development
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- Advanced ERP knowledge (NAV & BC)
- Business acumen and strong commercial mindset
- Change management and adaptability
- Problem-solving with attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Lead all financial operations for VKB Fuels, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Prepare and present financial performance reports to management, EXCO, and Board level
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth and profitability
- Manage cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Conduct financial analysis and provide actionable insights for decision-making
- Oversee and guide the finance and administration team, fostering a high-performance culture
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, group policies, and industry standards
- Play a leading role in the successful transition from NAV to Business Central
- Oversee ERP financial system integrity and improvements
- Manage risk, audits (internal and external), and financial governance
- Partner with operational leaders to drive efficiencies and identify opportunities for growth
