Dotsure Statistical Modeller

Job Description

Dotsure is seeking a Statistical Modeller to drive data-led innovation in insurance risk evaluation. This role focuses on telematics, predictive modelling, and deep statistical analysis to support product development, pricing strategies, and risk assessment within a dynamic and growing analytics team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Honours degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field
• 2–4 years of experience in statistical modelling, actuarial analytics, or insurance data analysis
• Prior experience in motor insurance or telematics is a strong advantage
• Advanced knowledge of statistical modelling techniques such as GLMs and correlation studies
• Proficiency in Excel and statistical tools like R, SAS, or similar
• Experience with SQL and large datasets
• Python skills are a plus
• Strong analytical mindset with a good understanding of behavioural data and risk modelling
• Clear communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Self-motivated and effective in fast-paced, team-oriented environments

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine telematics-based models to assess driver behaviour and risk
• Perform statistical analysis on insurance and telematics datasets to uncover insights
• Build predictive tools for claims forecasting, risk scoring, and pricing decisions
• Collaborate with product and business teams to integrate model insights into strategy
• Enhance accuracy of risk indicators and behavioural flags
• Communicate modelling findings clearly to technical and executive stakeholders
