Job Description

As a Data and Transformation Architect in Gauteng, you will design innovative technology solutions to support Airports Company South Africa’s strategic objectives. Reporting to the Senior Manager Enterprise Architecture, you will define data architecture frameworks, integrate systems, and ensure compliance with enterprise IT standards. Your role will involve translating business needs into technical specifications, enhancing data security, and fostering stakeholder collaboration to drive organizational efficiency and innovation in the aviation sector.

Requirements

• Matric is essential.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology is essential.
• Certificate in a recognized architecture framework (e.g., Zachman, TOGAF) is advantageous.
• 3 years operational experience as a Data and Transformation Architect.
• MS Office proficiency – Advanced.

Responsibilities

• Design compelling technology solutions in alignment with the business’ strategic objective and requirements.
• Define, integrate, and upgrade a comprehensive architecture to support applications, platforms, and databases.
• Ensure solutions are designed as per business requirements and as per enterprise IT standards; with minimum and agreed variance from functional and technical specifications.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, and data warehouses.
• Define the data architecture framework, standards, and principles, including modelling, metadata, security, and reference data.
• Provide modelling, design, development, preparation, implementation, and optimization of data.
• Document security requirements and controls for protecting information, systems, and technology assets.
• Provide technical/professional support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of functional and organisational objectives.
• Build, support, and maintain healthy, diverse internal and external relationships (government, authorities, and agencies) to ensure achievement of organisational goals.
• Implement remedial actions where required.
• Adhere to and ensure adherence to statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies, and procedures.
• Report non-compliance and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance.
• Plan, schedule, supervise, and coach subordinate activities within processes or services to achieve efficiency and quality goals.
• Assure stable employee relations by managing conflict and creating a positive working environment.
