The role involves supporting kitchen operations under the Executive Head Chef, ensuring high standards in food preparation, service readiness, and cleanliness. Candidates must be reliable, adaptable, and willing to work shifts in a dynamic hospitality setting.

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Formal culinary qualification
• 3 years practical experience in the industry, hotel, or corporate catering
• Ability to clean effectively after each shift
• Multitasking skills
• Literate in English – able to speak, read, and write
• Adaptability to different working areas and conditions
• Willingness to work shifts

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff
• Respond positively to constructive criticism
• Follow orders accurately and efficiently
• Complete multiple tasks within short timeframes
• Ensure food is served promptly and at the correct temperature
• Be hands-on and ensure required stock items are prepared for the menu
• Plan cooking methods for the menu
• Manage readiness of food outlet kitchens for service
• Keep serving areas clean according to company health and safety standards
