Job Description

A non-profit medical scheme client seeks a Qualified Actuary to establish and lead their actuarial and data analytics function. Responsibilities include risk management, product development, coordinating with external actuaries, and providing actionable insights to executive management.

Requirements

• Fellowship of the Actuarial Society of South Africa
• 10 years actuarial experience, including at least 3 years in insurance or healthcare with modelling and data analytics
• Strong data analytics skills

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead in-house actuarial and data analytics function
• Optimise processes for efficiency and risk management
• Support product development and competitive positioning
• Coordinate with external actuaries for reviews and statutory reporting
• Present findings to executive management
• Translate data insights into operational recommendations
• Consult with clients to provide actuarial solutions
