Job Description
STADIO Higher Education seeks an Academic Manager for the School of Commerce & School of Administration and Management. This permanent role involves academic project management, student success, governance, resource planning, and staff oversight. The position supports both academic quality and operational excellence within a private higher education institution with a national footprint.
Requirements
- Minimum NQF 9 qualification in a business-related field
- Experience with lecturing
- Relevant industry experience in business
- Experience with managing a team and deadlines/deliverables
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent English language skills
- Can-do attitude

- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Advanced management and leadership skills
Responsibilities
- Monitor and implement academic quality standards across the programme
- Implement teaching and learning policies, norms, and processes
- Support HOS and HOC with quality assurance audits and compliance
- Contribute to and implement School Improvement Plans (SIPs)
- Prepare for CHE and other regulatory site visits and accreditation
- Manage academic due dates and annual calendar deadlines
- Analyse assessment outcomes and moderator reports and drive improvements
- Coordinate programme delivery and liaise with academic staff
- Manage and implement at-risk and student retention policies
- Handle student complaints and support academic orientation
- Collaborate with C4AS on academic success training
- Contribute to timetable development aligned with the learning model
- Track academic calendar compliance and maintain staff-student communication
- Organise applied learning seminars and promote industry networking
- Arrange seasonal school programmes and support workplace readiness
- Oversee programme budget and ensure adequate library/specialist resources
- Contribute to academic workload allocations with HOS
- Manage appointments of academic staff and oversee their performance and development
- Coordinate staff induction, mentoring, and communication between school and campus
- Represent the school(s) on campus manco and meet governance deadlines
- Lead programme staff meetings and participate in school committees
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies and SOPs
