Job Description

Ninepoint is hiring a WordPress Developer to build bespoke themes from scratch, without reliance on page builders. The developer must have intermediate skills in key web technologies and be able to accurately implement designs using a clean, minimalist approach. This is a fully remote, permanent position.

Requirements

• Intermediate-level knowledge of WordPress CMS and WordPress API
• Intermediate-level knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery
• Intermediate-level knowledge of PHP
• Intermediate-level knowledge of CSS
• Intermediate-level knowledge of HTML
• Ability to create bespoke WordPress themes from scratch without using page builders
• Ability to follow design files precisely and implement intended functionality
• Must not use AI-generated code or pre-built themes
• Use of ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) plugin for custom fields
• Ability to export content and fields for WordPress import

Responsibilities

• Develop fully custom WordPress themes from scratch
• Follow and implement XD design files with precision, including layout, spacing, and styling
• Use a minimalist development approach with clean, self-written code
• Include ACF-based custom fields and provide exports for them
• Create page content and provide an XML export for admin import
• Avoid use of any page builders, pre-built templates, or AI-generated code
• Use original CSS class naming conventions based on structure and layout interpretation
