Job Description
Optimise the profit and economic value of portfolios of Growth Business key account clients requiring medium to high complexity commercial banking requirements. This includes focusing on origination efforts to acquire new clients, cross-selling to the existing client base, and providing coverage efforts to service clients in accordance with the segment CVP. The role involves maintaining strong relationships, driving financial targets, managing risks, and collaborating to improve ways of working.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and Professional Qualifications in Business, Commerce, or Management Studies
- Ability to maintain primary ownership of a portfolio of Growth Account clients with varying complexity
- Experience in developing and maintaining strong client relationships
- Capability to conduct regular client visits in line with the Commercial Growth Account Value Proposition
- Skill in initiating product changes and providing input into product development
- Knowledge of bank policies and procedures with strong compliance adherence
- Ability to manage portfolio risk through understanding of both bank and client regulatory environments
- Collaborative mindset to improve ways of working and challenge the status quo
- Willingness to share knowledge, experience, and best practices within a team
- Ability to provide constructive feedback to colleagues
Responsibilities
- Maintain primary ownership of a portfolio of Growth Account clients, differentiated by complexity
- Drive financial targets through origination, cross-selling, and client coverage activities
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular visits and engagement
- Conduct relationship and service management in line with the Commercial Growth Account Value Proposition
- Initiate changes to Absa Bank products by providing input into product development
- Ensure adherence to bank policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Take ownership of portfolio risk management by understanding regulatory and compliance environments
- Collaborate with team members to improve ways of working and support an empowering team climate
- Share knowledge, experience, and best practices with colleagues
- Provide constructive feedback to support team growth and performance
