How to Change Sassa Payment Method to Usave

Step-By-Step Guide to Change Sassa R350 Payment Method to Usave

1. Go to the SASSA website

Open the internet browser on your phone or computer (like Google Chrome or Safari).

Carefully type the following address in the address bar at the top of the screen:

2. Find the “Change Payment Method” section

Scroll down the SASSA website until you see a section titled “How do I change my banking details” or something similar.

Click on the link or button within that section.

3. Enter your details

ID Number: Carefully type in your South African ID number. Double-check to make sure it’s correct.

Cell Phone Number: Type in the cell phone number linked to your SASSA grant.

4. Get the code

An SMS (text message) will be sent to the cellphone number linked to your grant.

Open the message and find the special code that SASSA sent you.

5. Enter the code

Go back to the SASSA website. You’ll see a box asking for the code from the SMS.

Type in the code carefully.

6. Choose “USave” as your payment method

You should see a list of options like “Bank Account”, “ShopRite”, etc.

Find the option that says “USave” and select it.

7. Enter your USave details (if you have one)

If you already have a USave account, you’ll need to provide your USave account details. This may include your USave account number.

Ask the store where you shop for assistance getting these details.

If you don’t have a USave account yet, you need to open one. Visit a store that offers USave (like Shoprite or Checkers) and ask for help opening an account.

8. Submit your change

Carefully review all the information you’ve entered.

Once you’re sure everything is correct, find the “Submit” or “Confirm” button and click on it.
